Does anyone know of a Chicago area chrome plating shop that will do decorative chrome plating/small jobs? I need to get some boat parts rechromed and all the shops I've called only do industrial plating.

I'd appreciate it if you let me know. The side vents for the bilge intake and blowers are pealing and it doesn't look good. I called one shop in Rosemont and they said they'd do it, but then when I showed up they said they only did industrial stuff. I've called half a dozen other shops and they say the same thing. I can't believe there isn't a shop in the Chicago area that doens't do cosmetic chroming, especially with how big the custom car/bike scene is here.
Yeah, she's for sale. I've pretty mush rebuilt/updated the whole boat but I really want to step up to a t/s Top Gun. Whoever gets the Mistress is going to get alot of upgrades for free. Unfortunately for me, I'm yet another example of someone spending alot of effort and money in updating a boat and selling it for a loss.
BTW, I'll give you back your TRS tool next week. I had a shop make a copy of it, but it's taken them a coupld of months to get it done. Sorry again it's taken so long.

I gave up on trying to get them replated. Every shop I called said "we don't do that". I even called one shop which 2 others shops said would do it and they still said no. I ended up just taking them to LOKO for powdercoating. I'm going to color match them up with the hull graphics.
