Is this a special Mercury Marine part or can I buy it a Napa or something like that? I am trying to find it locally and quick.

Napa should stock em ive never tried to buy one from them but they are used on alot of import cars just ask them for the electrical picture book and look under fuses.

If you're stuck we keep them on the shelf, unfortunately Mercury is very proud of them. It would get expensive however with next day shipping.

Napa doesnt have them . I looked thru there echlin book nothing even close . They called it a relay idiots

I know it says fuse but is that actually a breaker? If it is a fuse how inconvenient is that

no it actually is a fuse but they only blow if you have a major short to ground.

I am told it just for the coast guard safety stuff.it must of shorted out hooking it up?

Did you hook the battery up to the stud on the fuse or to the starter?

It goes on the starter, otherwise you are trying to feed the starter through the fuse, which will pop it instantly ----

it was in the starter. we went to crank it on the dyno and it was blown.No biggie
