Flame arrestor for 350 MAG MPI

Flame arrestor for 350 MAG MPI
So there is no aftermarket arrestor available for this motor. Anyone ever purchase a carburator arrestor and just seal the center hole and drill three new ones? Provided I can find something with the same diameter opening is there any reason why this couldn't be done and work?
