Finally water tested the 38(I'M SOLD)
#1
Well, Sunday was picture perfect so I could finally water test the 38 Avenger. What a nice ride! I forgot my GPS we had 4 guys 1/2 tank of fuel and saw 73 on the speedo with completely FLAT water. I wish there were some chop to test the boat in the waves. Those speeds are not to bad for a non step boat. I'm signing the papers this week. Then it will be time to start tweeking.

It was very decieving, 65 degrees on land, out on the bay maybe 50. One of the guys forgot his jacket and froze his a** off. All in all a great April day for N. Michigan.

That was E.R. the channel markers are not even out yet. With the Bay that glassy it really makes it tuff to see the shallow water. There are some monster rocks outside the dredged channel.

Just run straight at the end of the peninsula should be safe.... I hit a shoal over by Powers Island once.....Bummer thats a long idle back to ER.
Do you live north of TC? I wish I did....maybe when I retire in 20 years....

Heading for the peninsula works in the summer after dredging. The ice seams to do funny things to the channel. And lining up to come back in was the tricky part. I live east of Charlavoix. I have a slip a Torch Lake but most of the time the boat is in my garage so I can go to Charlavoix and play. Can't wait for summer. Hope to meet some of you guys at the Fun Run if you are still doing it.
