stick with the Mercury Premium plus anything synthetic will be a waste of money on the 300X. If it were the 2.5 racing synthetic is advised. I still use the Merc. Hi-Perf gear lube. Too much contoversey over what would be better then the Merc. stuff.

Crossing over to the "Darkside"
Check out Scream & Fly.com. Pennzoil synthetic is also popular. I run Merc oil at present, buy it at Sams Club by the case. Walmart supposedly has the best $ on Pennzoil. Merc oil in the drive.
Good luck with the new boat

Speed2lead, gonna make the OPBA Poker Run?

Johno, while you're doling out advice, what speed is best to run when trolling for kingfish?

Cuda, it's nice to boat every weekend. Turn the key & go. Admit it, your # 1 boat has an eggbeater & a bimini.

Klotz TCW3 full synthetic, and Mercury Hi Perf gear lube. I run this in a pair of 300 promaxs. Maybe over kill but safe for sure.
