I am in the process of installing the number 3 Drives and gimbals on my 43 Scarab . I got the drives last night and was looking at the surface that mates to the Gimbal bell housing and noticed that the drives has the heads of various nuts protruding and the Gimbal is a machined flate surface with only the opening for the drive shaft machined in place( usually there are recesses machined in the gimbal to accept the protruding nuts). There is not even a fitting for the drive oil resevoir coupling. Has anyone ever seen a Gimbal like this .It this some special racing Gimbal. I was told that the drive needs to vent the oil to the resevoir or it will blow the seals out . Any insight to this dilema would be appreciated
