Busch and Nextel Cup drivers

Do any of you know a few of the Busch Series and Nextel Cup drivers who own performance boats?

I am thinking of a Special Event one evening while they are up here in Watkins Glen for their race. A little "performance challenge" maybe. See what they are made of on the water verses the asphalt. It is an easy tow from Kannapolis (friend lives there) to Watkins, so they could have their toys towed up here for that weekend. We (our SPBA club) could reserve some slips for them.

Our Club is holding the "Pirates Run" poker run here in June but a thought for August was to have a little competition between our club and them. I think we might have enough HP (and I stress maybe ) to kick their butts on the water -- Hardy Har Har -- We have a good 15 mile run from Watkins half way up the lake to the Showboat Motel to whoop their butts. After that ass-whoopin, it could be a nice evening for friends and family with dinner and relaxation right on the Lake. Some teams have already been to the Showboat so they know how to get there.

If they want to stick around for an extra day (or two), we could get back together after the races and maybe hit the Winery Trail for a little fun.

So if anyone knows one or more of these guys, could you pass on this idea and see what they think --

The drivers schedules probably wont allow for an event like this during the season. But you never know, great Idea and good luck.

I am working with Greg Zipadelli, the crew chief for Tony Stewart, on raising money thru my Poker Run for his Foundation for underprivaliged children.

hey Bob,

good luck back to you working with Greg --

each year Tony (and Greg I think) hang out just over the hill from the Showboat, at BlackRock Speedway watching the Sprinters -- In fact, the Sprinters that run there (and that I ran with too - ESS) is the same club that Erin Crocker is out of - I believe Ray E has her in training --

Rusty Wallace runs Fountains and I think owns part of dealership.
Jimmie Johnson has a new 35 Fountain.
