That cam is great with the stock heads and long runner intake on the EFI engine. I wouldn't bother changing it unless I was planning to run lots of boost with the Roots style blower.
We just dynoed a 500EFI engine with a Vortech blower and got 800 HP @ 5500 and 7 psi boost. Stock heads and cam; intake modified to take intercooler.

i dont have the efi units, i bought just the long blocks - then i got hp500 intakes and carbs to make them carb hp500s. But then i came across these blowers ( two complete setups ) so things change. im not planing on running more than 5lbs boost i want them reliable.

Just thinking a little more about this. The stock head gaskets on those engines have given some problems, especially when supercharged. Are the engines fresh? If not you might consider doing the heads and using Cometic head gaskets. That's what we did on the engines shown above. Added ARP rod bolts too for a little more insurance as supercharged engines tend to get revved a little higher.
