Stock motor? 8 Quarts? I'd check again. Try merc's website.

And let me just say that whatever ****ing genius designed Merc's oil filter bracket deserves to be covered in honey and tied down over an anthill!

Move em to the firewall or the transom Dock. I moved mine to the transom many years ago... Made myself a bracket and bolted it right up. Now I can use any filter and change it without spilling a drop.
