Angry Bearing Buddies

What is the trick to keeping these friggin things from working their way out? I carry a rubber mallet in truck and need to bang back in every time I take 30 mile trip to water.

I'm still trying to get the go-ahead for new EMI exhaust

Its heading up to Winnipasaukee in week or 2 at bros place for most of this season, break lot less up there. Too much $ being spent on the house this year. I'll just have to find some friends with fancy new boats to go out with in the big stuff. wink-wink-nudge-nudge I've got a brand new $10 bill to chip in for gas!

You might try "galling" or roughing up the outside of them before you put them in... I had to do that with one of mine to get it to stay in.

You may also have too much grease in them... I've seen guys pump them so full they simply push themselves off.

I tried warping one with a hammer so woud be oblong and stay in tighter, still a pain in the balls. come to think of it I am a little aggressive with the grease volume.

i have put a small bead of silicone around the lip of the bearing buddy before to help keep one in place on a sled trailer years ago. Never came off again till i needed it to.
