I realize I'm in the minority here, but for me JN is a great excuse to get out on the lake - anywhere *away* from Gull Island! Too many professional drunks / amatuer boaters out there for me.

I feel the same way, plus I never understood the apeal of Gull island. The times that we have been there I found it was very dirty. There is really nothing to do but stand around on a small barron island with a beer in your hand. We can't beach our boat so we have to anchor in pretty deep water which always seems to be freezing, so going between the boat and the island is a pain. I much prefer the Moot to Gull Island, and jobbie nooner is no exception.
Of course I am getting older and crabbier so don't judge it by me

Eight thousand drunk guys gawking at 30 females.

Eight thousand drunk guys - 30 females - equals lets punch each other.

Does anybody even know what a jobbie is?

Welcome to Michigan - we produce health care dependants, and fat people.
