What is the trick to installing the one piece rear main in a Gen V or VI chevy? I have never had a leak with the old 2 piece design, but 2 of my last 3 engines with the one piece seal have leaked. I use RTV on the O.D. of the seal and smear a little around the outside of the cap and block. I have a hard time keeping the seal in the block when I tighten the rear main.Even though the seal is perfectly square in the block, it tries to spit the seal out. Should I try installing the seal dry?
I find it hard to believe that I am the only one to experience this problem, so help me out guys!

I use UltraBlack sparingly and have never had a problem.

Silcone can act like a lube.I myself would try dry.
