Default What's around your crank?

I need to order parts to assemble short blocks. I have always used just whatever brand on street stuff, OEM on my bikes.

What do you consider to be the best bearing for the mains and rods on the market and why??

What do the builder's around OSO think is the proper clearance for Mains & rods For longevity not max power?????

I know some builders using King bearings but I prefer to use Clevite. Federal Mogul also offers a high-quality heat-treated alloy radiused bearing. Dennis at Mid-City right in downtown Chicago can get you those as well as Clevites and I've never found anyone that can beat his prices. I've been buying from him for many years.

I have run the King bearings in some of my Nitrous motors with good luck .I use the H series bearings now because I get then at 35% off J.

I guess it depend mainly depends on your machine work!!
