Two stage Eickert sea pump
#1
Opinions are appreciated~the schematic starts with a one and one quarter inch pickup~to the sea strainer~to the pump~to a collector for both pump outlets~to the power steering cooler~to the transmission bell housing cooler~to a thirty two o eight caterpillar engine cooler~to the engine oil and transmission thermostats ~to a collector that splits the flow between both inlets on the Eickert crossover~out the one and one quarter inch outlets in the BDS intakes~to the CMI low cat headers~to dry tail pipes with a dump~the steam ports at the back of the intake go to the back of the header water log~we do not have inter coolers~I think I like the extra insurance from the dual impellers ~excess pressure or spikes will be dumped overboard with a pressure relief valve after the coolers but before the thermostats

A suggestion of having the pressure relief valve at the sea strainer instead. On my boat there is a seperate fitting on the strainer with a relief valve that will dump out the stern.

I'm running the same pump as yours with similar routing, except using the bell housing coolers for engine and trans. Like Brad's, the sea strainers have a pressure relief valve at the top for pressure spikes. The spikes and steam ports dump over the side.
