Don't plan to make the trip just for that. We have a place in Seacrest Beach and I was think of trailering my boat maybe I should just rent a toon

Crab Island is a blast! 
We make it part of our fun at the Emerald Coast Poker Run every year in August. Maybe rent the toon like you mentioned this time, then plan to go back for the Poker Run in August with the real boat. Just a suggestion.
