I am considering a 32'SS that needs lots of TLC and re-rigging. It was setup for TRSs but i figured seeing as it needs glass work already why not switch to a drive that can handle big power. Anyone here have any experience running that kind of setup?

u might want to contact Richard Schott on this subject. He is the owner/driver of black cloud. a 388 slingh**** w/ arneson surface drives. the boat runs upwards of 140mph from what ive heard. i guess he and his brother did all the rigging and engine building on the boat themselves and i hear he's an expert w/ hustlers. they also previously built a 32 w/ arnesons. i believe he is located somewhere in the Long Island, NY area. i think their business name might be under Black Cloud Racing Engines.

Outside of filling the transom, the only real hassle is to convert the port engine to counter rotation because Arnesons have no ability to counter rotate the drives. If you don't, that will be a rude handling boat
