Default Anybody installed Gaffrig billet flame arrestors on a 502 MPI?

I have some that I'm trying to install, and they came with no directions so I'm trying to figure it out (seller hasn't been of any help either).

My 502's have 4-5" long studs at the intake that the old ones slide on to, secured by locknuts. The Gaffrig units don't have through holes, but came with a spacer plate and 4" long screws, which I assume are used in place of the studs. I haven't tried to remove the studs, but if I did I think the screws are way too long. I really don't want to start removing studs, either. Help.....

In this case a picture is probably worth a thousand words, but I can't get one soon....

Before my blower I had the AzSM flame arrestor on my 502, post a couple of pictures of the set up you have and I will see if I can remember what I had to do to install it.

Thanks, Don. Just what I was looking for. Mine don't have the holes for the studs to come through, but they will soon... That's better than removing studs...

You should not have to drill or add holes to the unit itself, it should already have everything that you need to complete the install.

The base bolts the the plenum(intake), the base should include the studs that bolt the top of the flame arrestor to the base and you basically sandwich the fiter in between the base and the cap.

That's what I thought when I bought them, but there are no holes in the top of the flame arrestor cover. The simplest thing to do is to drill some, let the existing studs protrude through, and use the existing lock nuts to sandwich the flame arrestors/spacers in. With the parts I received there's no way to just bolt things in without changing something, and I think I'd rather mod the new parts vs the intake manifold.
