Default Like feedback on a vehicle../03'/04 Viper

Have not owned an automobile since 1991. Thinking of getting a sports car to tool around in and give my truck a break.

Considering an 03/04 low mileage Dodge Viper. Anybody have any info on them, what to look for, comments or things to watch out for.

Will put a "boating" decal or front license plate on it so it's a "boating" thread.

Thanks.

I have Black Mamba #154/200. Built for one thing-- going fast, very fast, and eating 'vette a$$. They're very solid- more so then the last vette that I had, but not quite as tight as the Gemballa Porsche that I have. Seats are kinda snug for me (6'3" x 235lbs), as is the headroom with the top up. Gauges are well visualized with the seat ALL the way back. Stock stereo lacks punch and was replaced quickly with indash DVD and amp. Passenger pipe developed rattle at 4000 miles (8 months to get there) and fixed under warranty. Pipe also gets very hot and burned the hell out of Mari's calf getting out of drivers side door. You'll also get asphyxiated at long traffic lights because of the fumes, because of the sidepipes--duh! Tires pick up more then a street cleaner at 345/30 ZR 19 and been patched 2x per side!! Trunk only holds 3 carry-ons. Gets a $HITLOAD of looks and thumbs ups!

In summary--

Would highly recommend it as a FOURTH car ( what we have it for)
probably as a third car, probably not as a 2nd car, and DEFINITELY NOT as a daily driver.

Lease one for a week, you'll understand...

Thanks for the info. It would primarily be a "toy", certainly not a daily driver, that's my truck. It's just been almost fifteen years since I've owned any type of automobile and just have a hankering for one again. My last car was an 89' Saab Turbo SPG tricked out to over 330 horsepower. Hell of a car. I like the looks of the new model Vipers and am cosidering one. Anybody else please chime in.

I'd like to give it a try. Would want either a red (preferably) or black one.

Hmmmm, let's see, five boats, three motorcycles, four wheelers, new Diesel truck.

Going to pay for it with my "sign on bonus" as GM of "Cuda Enterprises"....
