Default 1985 Baja Force 320

I HAVE A 1985 320 FORCE THAT IS UPDATED AND I AM RUNNING 23P MIRAGE PLUS PROPS. THE BOAT ONLY DOES ABOUT 63-63 IN GOOD CONDITIONS ON GPS. I AM TURNING ABOUT 4800 RPMS ON 454 MAGS WITH BW TRANNIES ON TRS DRIVES. THE BOAT WILL ALWAYS RUN 60 DONT MATTER HOW MANY PEOLE ARE IN IT, IT ALSO GETS OUT OF THE WHOLE VERY FAST, NEVER EVEN PUTS IT BOW UP! I CAN BEAT ALOT OF JECTSKIES OUT OF THE HOLE. I AM READING WHERE PEOPLE ARE GETTING ALMOST 70 OUT OF THERE FORCE 32. I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD TRY 24 OR 25P PROPS? I DONT WANT TO OVER WORK THE MOTORS BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET OVER 65MPH. I AM ALSO SELLING THIS BOAT ONLY TO DOWNSIZE TO A 25 OR 27 SINGLE ENGINE. BUT I DO LOVE IT AND IT IS GOING TO BE HARD TO DOWNSIZE. CHECK IT OUT http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-5914.html
THANKS

Blueprint the bottom, or at least take the hook out of it.

mr velocity is right there is a hook in the bottom . I bought that boat new in 85 came with 330s originally I ran 23p cleavers the boat ran 62-63. Repowered it with blown 462cu in it ran a best of 81mph. in a radar shoot run. Was using 25p cleavers turning 5800rpm. I'll have to say the old girl looks pretty good with her updates. Now days alot more props to choose fromm then 20yrs ago. JOHN.

It looks like your RPM is just on the low side. I think you should be spinning it about 5000. You are not going to accomplish that by going with more pitch. You may want to contact one of the prop shops here on the board and see if they can tune up the 23's to give you some more engine RPM and a little better prop effeciency. They may also recommend a different prop.
