502 oil pump

502 oil pump
just got oil pump 10777 first ? should i leave high pressure spring in or change it [new motor].next pan mesured 8.5 inches from pan rail to bottom so i ordered the 8 inch pick up part# 12701 looks nothing like what was in it info would help
