fix chips on bottom of boat????
#1
I got a couple of chips on the bottom edge of my boat. It is about a inch long and shows black undernieth. What is a easy way to fix this, so it doesn't stand out?

sand the area with some 60 grit, hit it with some acetone to clean then buy some Gel paste from west marine or a Blue water store, you can tint the paste with coloring agent to match the rest of your gel, you wont get a perfect match put it will be close, follow mixing instructions on can of paste, apply to area this stuff will shrink a little so add a little extra then cover with the acetate paper[clear plastic sheet] and tape to seal out air,

gel coat wont cure in the properly presence of air. it needs to be sealed off. in the industry we either use a waxing agent or spray a few coats of PVA (polly vinyl alchohol) on it .
