Storms are starting to line up and were still 2 months from the active season. If this goes like last year the insurance companies will be pulling out of Fla.

Loaned my trailer to a buddy for a week..now into week 3 & my boat sits on his lift. I want my trailer back by Friday so I get my boat off the lift. If we have another bad year, we will be screwed big time by the Ins. Industry.

Indeed, the tropics are becoming active once again. It's coming, no doubt, let's just all hope that the storms are weak and stay away from our coasts and cities. We can't afford another year like last.

Anyone from the North that has plans to eventually retire here can forget it. They wont be able to buy or afford the insurance if we have another year like last.

Insurance would be a concern, but if the storms hammer the east and west coast like last year, there may not be anything to retire too!!

Yep. I'm keeping an eye on this one too. You never know which way it'll turn.
After being in the path of three storms last year I have a new found respect for hurricanes.
We also found out just what supplies we need to survive for extended periods with out electricity. A generator would be nice, but it's not in the budget.
I hate hurricane season!

Ahhh, screw it! I've got my 6500 watt generator, 2 new window A/C units, my .32 pistol, and 190 Gallons of gas for the gen. I'm ready,
all I have to do is pull the Nordic off the lift and put it on the trailer and haul it to Orlando and we should be fine! It's part of life in FL.
We will all be under the "Citizens" Insurance pool run by the state of Fl. just sooner than later!
Actually, I'm suppose to head to Ft. Walton Beach on Monday, when Dennis is projected to hit Penesecola about that same time.

Got it Home Depot last year, 6500 Watts, continous, 9500 watts surge, $$ ~700.00. Ran it for about 100 hrs. total last year and it worked great.
Hope this helps,
Dean
