Default Damage reports from Florida

Anyone have damage reports from Ft. Walton/ Destin area?
I hope everyone in the path of that storm is ok.
I wonder it they will call off the Emerald Coast Poker run.

Looks like it made landfall between Navarre and Pensecola. If anyone else did Emerald Coast last year I believe thats where the Tiki bar was, in Navarre. Wonder how bad Ft Walton got it.

I have some businesses along the coast in Destin, Ft. Walton, Niceville, Panama City Beach, Port St. Joe, and Apalachicola.
Most of Destin had power resorted this evening and only minor damage.
Ft. Walton had power restored this morning and only minor damage.
Panama City Beach had only minor damage and most power restored by noon today.
Many of the beaches from St. George Island West did suffer a lot of erosion.
On Grand Lagoon off St. Andrews Bay in Panama City Beach we had a storm serge of about 7'.
As of this evening we were not able to get to Navarre.
From landfall East mostly trees down, power outages, erosion, minor flooding.
It could of been a lot worse in our area.
I hope the folks at ground zero did not suffer too much damage. Ivan was just 10 month ago and many people were still rebuilding.

Check out www.PensacolaNewsJournal.com -- they did excellent coverage of most of that area including a lot of photo's.

I saw a video shot from a helicopter as it flew over Navarre.... It showed the tiki bar and restaraunt that was a card stop last year during the PR......pretty much got wiped out.

Poorsche, good link. Lots of photo's. I saw on the damage map that Juana's Pagoda (that tiki place) was listed as completely destroyed.

I'm in Tallahassee right now. No damage at all here. It doesn't even look like they got much rain.

Does anyone know if AJ's got any damage? Supposed to be in Destin for the Emerald Coast Poke Run and don't want to come if the place is destroyed.

I know a guy that does FEMA cleanup work. He was there waiting for the storm and I have heard he hasn't gotten any work yet.
