Default cloudy paint caused by cover

I have a '97 top gun with factory imron graphics on the bow/deck. The paint was in pretty good shape...until I covered the boat with my new cover. It seems that where the cover laid flat on the bow, the blue/purple graphics have very defined white cloudy areas. The cloudiness will not buff out and almost seems to be under the paint?? It looks terrible and I'm afraid to keep using my cover. Anyone have any idea what this is and how to remove the cloudy areas?
Thanks-

This could be a couple of things - the new cover may be holding moisture against the surface of the Imron paint - If in fact the baot has clear coat the aliphatic polyurethane has hydrated and absorbed moisture into the clear coat - Put this isn the hot sun and allow a couple days to cook the moisture out -

If this is the case you also have a problem in the clear coat is slowly breking down and soon you may want to consider and agressive sanding to remove clear and reclear coat. This can also happen if the original mix ration was not right on the money -

Second guess is that the new cover has gotten hot and transfered the water proofing coating onto/into the paint - Check with the mfger and talk to them about this problem -

I'm pretty sure that the imron is a single stage paint without a clearcoat. The problem seems to be worse where the cover(made out of stamoid fabric) sits flat against the paint on the deck with either water ponding on top or trapped underneath...then it bakes in the sun and causes the cloudy patches. Any way to remove the cloudiness from the single stage paint?
Thanks-

I remember reading about somebody else that had this problem on a gladiator, not to sure which one it was (spitfire, osg?) you might try to pm them and ask them.

Letting it "bake" in the sun realy will work...
Saw this alot when I owned a detailing biz with Bras & magnetic signs on cars....

When it first happened I did notice that the cloudiness seemed to go away if the boat sat out in the sun...but now that does not seem to do the trick anymore.
