Depends on your style of boating. Hot Boat is steered towards river rats while Powerboat in more the offshore thing.
I lean towards Powerboat, but have to have 'em all so I don't miss anything. I do skip the last 10 pages or so of Hot Boat as there are usually a bunch of old flat boats that I'm not very interested in.

There was an article in Hot Boat last month that was hands down the best racing article I have ever read.
It was about white water, jet boat racing on the Snake river.
I prefer Extreme Boat mag over both HB or PB though.

Powerboat was recently purchased by a a fishing boat magazine.........I expect it to get worse than it already is........if you noticed their "NEW" larger format copied EXTREME BOATS who introduced it months before POWERBOAT. Extreme Boats has better coverage and article. They report info from the owners view of the rides and not by advertising dollars like the other two rags. Hot Boat just has lots of T&A and limited product focus but has been trying to expand that in recent issues.
