Sake,

The 29 Fountain is a great boat, the 502 mag motors are usually very reliable. The only negative on a 29 Fountain with twin 502s is the rear will be heavy and will sit very low in the water. As for the boat pictured I do not know that one personally.

I have a 93. Same boat but with 502 EFI's. It runs real good. Has good mid range. I think it definitely has a sweet spot as far as what speed it likes to cruise. I suppose all boats do. It requires attention at top speed. We really like it. It does sit low in the back. Not a problem where we boat but if you were in real rough water you could take some water over the back. Water line is about 4 inches below the swim platform.
What is the asking price?
Good luck.

Looks nice. The 29 twinn is a known sinker so keep it hi and dry. I have the earlier 8.8 with some big thumper motors and Konrads. It handles great and doesn't get scetchy at speed. I think the boat you're looking at is a bit shorter and I understand they can be a handfull at speed but I can't speak from experiance.

That's high on price. A 32 can be had for that money.

There is another one in New Hampshire going for 35k. Single owner, fresh water and it looks clean. Check out the classifieds.
