Does any one know anything about bravo 2 outdrives?
what they are generally used on ? I would asume heavier boats. I do know they have a very high ratio 2.20. and the prop shafts are huge.

I don't mean to sound ignorant but do these have any value
on a performance boat, and what kind of h.p. would they handle, & how about props with that large of a shaft. The reason I am asking is I have 2 brand new (never been bolted up) sitting here in my shop and it would be nice if they could be put to use on somthing that actually runs!!

they are longer too, x dim would be real low..........Sell them on ebay.

Many people with 27' -30' cabin Cruisers originally equipped with Bravo 1's are going with Bravo 2's as the boat handles better, planes better etc. It is not a high perf drive at all.
I sold one in the local paper to the first person who called. I bought another to flip because there is a market for them. They come in several gear ratios. heres the deal there is a letter stamped in the Driveshaft that goes into the coupler. This should be correct, if not changed ( I re-stamp when I change shaft) if it is marked C 2.20-1 , F 2.00-1, H 1.81-1 or T 1.65 -1. This is the final drive ratio at the propshaft. Hope this helps.
