Out of curiosity...could a cabin be installed in an old race boat like that? What would you have to do? Love to have a v-berth, some couches, a porta-potty, and maybe even a couple hatches. Dave

Lucky Strike - "Out of curiosity" is just the pleasant way to say "I could/should not afford to, but"...

Dave911
To put a covergirl cabin in my 38 Top Gun F-2 boat cigarette wants $8000.
One of the reasons I bought the boat I did was because it had no cabin.
As I said all it takes is money and you can add almost anything to your boat

Bodyshot, you don't need 80K to take it away. Just make a reasonable offer and you can be running in the next OPA race. It is on the trailer, ready to race, poker run or pleasure run.

Dave911. A cabin could be easily be added, it has full length stringers that would just need a top to be added, carpet over top and upholstery. Hatches can be easily cut through the deck and installed.

That pic above is sweet. To me, that's how an offshore should look!
