Has anyone purchase a new base motor out there my problem is I had just receive my motor and It sure looks like a rebuilt motor. There was a plate on the side of block like the one they put on Mercuriser near the bellhousing that someone had removed and grinded the rivets. My last new base motor did not have that plate. Is there a way I can tell what year this motor is . Serial number on this motor is ( TO2086LK )
