Since you brought up KN I was down in the keys last week and the Coast Guard stopped me.I had only one working fire extinguisher and I am required to have two,and they said my KN filter was incorrect that I needed a flame arrester.I showed them it has the words Marine stamped on it and the # SAEJ1928 but they did not know anything about it.I went to KN web sight and printed up the pages and I will send a copy to the CG and keep a copy on board with me in boat so if it happens again I can set them straight.

I don't like my K&N's as well as my Gaffrigs. The K&N's are so flimsy, when I put the breather tubes on them, they tend to collapse the filter.

ditto, they last and look good for years, don't really need k&n baha 1000 grade filters for marine app.
