Dodge Sprinter/Freightliner any good?
#1
Looking for a new van for my home theater company. Any thoughts on the Dodge Sprinter. I hear they get 25 mpg. My Chevy Express van gets between 10 and 12 mpg.
Anyone own a Sprinter that can tell me the good and bad?

The guys at HAAS automation (they build CNC machine tools) switched their whole flet over to them. The guy I know over there said the thing is a dream and gets 23-24 MPG. You wouldn't catch me dead in one as a person vehicle, but they definetly have there place and it sounds like the right thing for you.

The low maintenance of a diesel engine and 93" and 103" roof heights are pluses, as is the very short turning radius. I'm 5'10" so I could walk upright even in the shorter one.
I don't know anyone who owns one, but German engineering is very good. I say go for it.

Andy, contact Robby at http://www.kingsguns.com he has the glass shop also and is a helluva nice guy. Ask him about his van and mods. BTW he can also hook you up with LEGAL machine guns and suppressors.
Tell him Jimmy from Atlanta sent ya.

Don't go that route if you plan on towing anything. My company picked one up with the intentions of using it for generator delivery, and even with the lightest ones in my fleet (around 3200lbs) it was scary and all over the road. We let another division have it and are now waiting on a new 5500 GMC.
They're great for chasing parts and the like and seem to run forever on a tank of fuel.

I own one, It's at my shop in vegas for my designers. I have the Turbo diesel(mercedes) had some issues with it at first but its sweet now, we dont haul that much weight with it. We also have an extended roof and the additional air, and the guys are comfortable in it. paid 38k for it total...Rob

roof height, think clearance at drive thru's and banks...
the interior height is what you want, the tall one is 6'1" i believe..
if they had 93/103 interior heights those things would be 10-12' tall....
