My boat currently turns props outward. Boat handles well, planes well, feels a little heavy in the water but no real complaints. I would like to try turning in just for kicks. What type of changes will I notice turning in versus out? What about handling around the docks?

Brett from BBLADES did mine a few years back. Worked out great. Ran mirage 25's on my 28 footer. The boat came to life But was alittle harder to drive . Now you had to fly it more than drive it . He did make changes to the prop to spin in.

my staggered are turn in..NOW I use 1 engine/drive and steer the wheel fully cranked each way to slide in...Big diff from before as I would set the wheel straight and use both drives to get in.

Works fine.

Typically you get more bow lift turning in. As stated the captain now must DRIVE the boat. Requires more balance on a V bottom since less keel is in the water.

Docking requires more throttle since the props produce a lot of thrust against the transom while in reverse.

Remember, every boat is different. It's always a good experiment. You will always learn something. Also. and most importantly, if you try this, be careful the first time out. Throttle first, trim second.

I have a 36 Outlaw. If I am reading this correctly if I change from my current setup of Bravo 1's spinning out, that I will get more bow lift and hence I should pick up some speed. As it is now the boat pops right up on plane but my top speed has been dissapointing since I put the new 750 hp motors in.

Can you safely run the B1's in reverse with the props switched to see if turning in will work? Then swithch the drives around if successfull.

Yes you can switch the props and run the Bravo drives in reverse. It may be the cheapest 1-2 MPH you will ever get.

Perfectmix - bravos work in either direction. You can switch the props and try it with no other changes other than your sticks will work backwards (forward equals reverse and vice versa) If you like it, you can simply move the cables on the shifters to the opposite side. Switching the drives will not fix the shifters being backwards, you have to change the cables.
