New to the offshore world.. Bought a used Sleek 28/ 500hp 4 months ago.. I go to havasu and to catalina once in a while.. The 28 seems to be a good boat, runs good, but now am ready to step up a bit.. Was wondering if anyone has info on the Kachina 30 drone. Talked to louie about building one for me w/ 600sci he said i should get about 75 mph out of it,Does that seem about right for a 30 and info would be great.. thanks

A 28 Sleek is a 30 Kachina, same hull except swim step?? A 600 SC should give you more performance then that maybe he is being conservative. The Drones are nice looking boats but if your looking for a move up for bigger waters maybe you need a 34 Drone???

Hey fountain... I think you are right !!!!!... I checked out a 30 drone and although it's not a sleek... it's about the same free board with a mod V.... So i'm off to phoniex to check out the 34 ... looks a lot better in the pic... i just use the boat more at havasu and didn't want something tooo big... Now i have to figure out the motor thing.... 2 525's is ideal.. but cost is a factor...
