I'll be leaving my boat in the water for a week now, and another week later in the month.
I have zincs on everywhere they could be.
Would you think its a good idea or even necessary to get one of these additional zincs?

When metals are placed in a salt water it creates a battery.... the Zincs help from electrolysis taking place to metal that is in the water such as props, drives, vents... the electrolysis will eat away the zinc instead...

Had one of those.Saw no difference.It also depends on the marina and the type of boats around you.

Sorry, not much salt in Okieland We don't leave the boats in salt long enough to worry about it, I guess

I guess the ? is, will one week in salt water do much damage?
I don't think my boat has sat overnight in the water once since I've had it.
But I'm taking it to places where there is no lift, and I'm not putting it on the trailer. It will be in the water ready to go!

I think I'll be OK. Just wanted to get some of your opinions.

One week will not hurt it.Just make sure your zincs are all set.

and make sure neighboring boats don't have shore power cords hanging in the water
