Default Twin vs.Triple

How many people are turned off when shopping for a boat that has three motors vs. two motors? Does it kill the resale?
I was wondering because I see quite a few linger on the market that appear to be nice boats. Is it the overall maintenance or the excessive weight or??? Just curious.

Is it easier to insure a twin 1075 or a Triple 575?

More maintenance, more fuel, mediocre performance.

Don't ask me, I like trip TMP750's and Arnesons ASD6's, I get sh!t all the time To me you get up on plane better, their is less stress on the drives cause of the hp issue, less maint. on the motors cause not as high strung....Am I missing anything, tell me O B ONEKNOBIE.

There are in fact banks who will not do triples but there are also some that don't like twin 1075's. Bottom line is triples give just a few less lenders to choose from.

I heard with triples, if your boat jumps out of the water it is likely your two outer drives will be out first, and the center drive may not leave the water. What this does is place unequal stress on the center drive as compared to the outer drives. I would imagine either the center or outer drives would wear out first if you constantly fether the throttles equally.
