Wide Beam Performance Boats
#1
I may be in the market for a good used boat this winter, and I have an interesting question...
Have there been any good "wide beam" performance boats built in the last 20 years. Here's what I'm looking for...
LOA - 30 feet (or longer)
Beam - 9 to 11 feet
Power - Twin big blocks
Age - less than 20 years old
I'm not "shopping" for a boat right now. I just want to know some models that I should consider.
Thanks!

38ZX has a 9'3" beam the first year with the Z tech hull was 1997 I believe, I do not know what the beam was before then. Black Thunders have a 9'6" beam. Cigarette made a wide beam but that would be older than 20 years.

Formula 33, 37, 40 SS all are wider than 8.5. Models started at various times in the late 90's. Wellcraft made a 38 and 45 Excaliber that was 10 ft and 11ft?? respectively. Newer models...Monterey started making around 2000 a 298SC. 32 ft w/ twinns that runs upper 60's.
