Michigan City Fun Run September 3rd
Michigan City Fun Run & Steak Fry
September 3rd
This full day event starts at Jackson Park inner harbor, Southern Shore Yacht Club. There will be bagels, donuts and coffee for everyone. Registration begins at 10:00 am. The drivers meeting will be held inside the yacht club at 11:00 am sharp. There will be short meeting encouraging boaters to run in groups. We have a helicopter taking video and stills to be used for the season DVD. There is a charge of $60 for the run. This helps cover the helicopter, rescue divers and video production crew. The money for the run will be collected before the drivers meeting.
Lunch will be available for purchase at Michigan City. We will raft off of the wall down the channel in Michigan City. After lunch, boaters may go to Boater's Beach or run their boat on the lake.
The party continues back at Jackson Park Inner Harbor for their famous steak fry starting at 6:00pm. All members of the Chicago Powerboat Club are invited to attend by car or by boat. The charge for this event is $35 per person. This includes a full steak dinner and open bar. The money for the dinner will be collected by the Yacht Club the morning of the run. Sounds like a busy day Saturday is there anything planned for Sunday and Monday. Better think of something or Betty will want to tie up at Diversy and go shopping.
