Does anyone that you know of have one of the new style Y2K's ( top & bottom) running outboards?? Do they even do the Y2K top in an outboard version? Would want a full transom with bracket, but looks like the swim platform extends...

It can be done. JC will try to sell you the shortened deck model (no swim platform). I'm sure a B- Bracket would fit under the swin platform. Give Cohen a call at Superboat. 631-226-1761

Yeah, wanted to see a picture of it already done. Not ready to phurchase anything until next year... have never seen(or heard) of a Y2K with outboards. I want to research all options to see what is best for me. I hear general numbers concerning OB boats in the 28-30 range, but seems that very few people have them, I trying to find someone who does, so I can get their "fisrt hand" experience. But, like I said, I'm not ready to buy, so calling the factory to see if it's possible is not of interest- I want to see and talk to someone who already has one.

I actually called superboat for the same set up. I was thinking the Y2K with twin 300x's would be a SWEET ride. According to John the owner of superboat 1 has been built but the guy rarley runs it. I would like to get my hands on it!!! He has 2.5's on it and it runs around 80mph according to John. He said that a bracket can be done but i guess my thought was to chop off the swim platform and just go with a B-Bracket which basically still gives you a swim platform. Also with the outboards and these boats being custom, my thought was to move the sunpad/hatch area back to get more cockpit room. I don't have any pics but would like to see some myself. John did say that the Y2K with a 496HO would be more Bang for the Buck though which I can see that side as well. GOOD LUCK!!!!
