Default Windshield Replacement Plexiglass or Lexan

Replacing my windshield in my scarab do to several cracks from the stunt shows/movie use.

Anyway I can use either Lexan or Plexiglass. I've been told that Lexan would be a little better choice because it's not as brittle as plexiglass and will stand up a little better to the beating of the waves. Lexan also has a little more give to it so if I hit the windshield with my leg when going to the bow I'm told it will have less chance of cracking.

Thoughts? Comments?
