Question Shore power pigtail 50 or 30 amp to 110 connector??

I am going to a dock on Labor day that has a 50 or 30 amp connection at the dock. I don't have shore power on my boat, but I do have a frig and battery chargers that I connect to a 110 extension cord as the usual docks we go to have 110 outlets.

I don't have access to a good boat supply store around here and would like to get a 50 or 30 amp connector which pigtails to a 110 connector which I can plug my extension cord into.

Are the 50 amp and 30 amp connectors different?

Where can I get the connectors, figure I can make my own pigtail to a 110 female connector? What type of stores carry these things?

Thanks!!!

50 and 30 are different at the docks. Should have them at West Marine or Boaters World.

You are looking for one of these

THe pedastel on thedock is Female.

You need to know a little more than just 30 or 50 Amp connector.

Also need to to know if it's 12oV or 120/250V.

I've got three or four adapters I've collected as I've wandered from place to place--and I've needed them all on more than one occassion.

Check your yellow pages for WW Grainger. They have all sorts of that stuff. A good electrical supply house will have them as well but Grainger may be easier. Catalog has pictures etc.

Thanks everyone!!!

Sydwayz, most places so far have had a 110 outlet, but this is the second time I've run into the dock only having the bigger outlet. Luckily the first time I was able to borrow a pigtail from someone. Figure I'd plan ahead and make sure I have what I need.
