Where do you guys launch? I would be coming from the North and don't really want to plow through the weed beds in front of the Cayuga Lake State Park on the westside.
Any suggestions?

I usually launch in Ithaca which has the nicest facilities.

Coming from the North, I would have to say that your options are the Sate Park that you mentioned or Dean's Cove.

I have never launched at Deans Cove but other members launch some pretty big iron at this facility with no problems.

Dean's cove is right off of Rt 89 in Ovid. I am thinking it's about 15 miles farther south than the State Park.

we plan on going over launch at deans cove, then you are half way from eather end. The boating is always great over there.
