marine hemi motors

i have a 82 year old neighbor with 3 complete marine hemi's (62-72 vintage) are they worth anything? i could buy them for a right price and re sell them. what do you guy's think?...james

If they were late 60's or early 70's they have to be 426 cu in. Chrysler stopped making the 392 Hemi in 1958. I would bet that they are the early pre-1958 engines. I would also say their only value would be to sell to a vintage boat restorer. There is nothing these engines could do better than a modern BBC, and I'm an ole Hemi Fan.

Do those belong to some one in Stuart Fl if so I've worked on those engines since the 80's when I worked for Custom Engine Service . If they are they were the fastest guys in the water back then I use to go to the marine stadium in Miami and watch them kick a$$ all the time.

If you've seen them and they have the distributor in the front and at an angle there are late hemis. I may be interested, especially after seeing Steve Stepps Hemi boat up close last weekend at LOTO. Greg
