maybe its intended to let air out that way.... OL's hinge at the back, so the hinges would have to give out completely for it to come off at the back, just curious if there was a way to "pop" it open like that when running to let out more air....

Yeah....maybe there is something going on there. There are some flapper things on the back too......not sure what those are......plus this is a different picture and the hatch looks like it is "popped" up the same height?

I would say that is not the intended position of that hatch! Sharp looking boat though.

awsome picture!!!!!!! first of all. I would say that air pressure might be something to look into. Maybe some vents in the hatch?????

The clarity of the reflection in the water of the k-plane and the bottom of the drive makes me think that it's a real photo. I think it would be difficult to reproduce that...
