Hey folks I'm looking at a 1999 Formula 33' SS w/ 7.4L MPI any history good / bad on these motors?? They've got about 350hrs salty
on them. TIA in advance for all your wisdom.

There damn good engines, just not upgradable. cant bolt on a lot of hp or add a blower. use them what they are intended for and you will get 1500hrs out of them.

You probably could, just for how long? My advice, stay away from them if you have the itch to go fast. Or buy the boat, sell the engines and put in what you want.

Are they raw water cooled or do they have an optional closed cooling on them? Has it been kept in the water? If it's been kept in the salt and no closed cooling..... I'd hate to see what they look like on the inside.... rack, lift, trailer kept??
