I've found out the hard way that selling used boat engines is harder than one would think. You know what I have in the classifieds and I can't get 40% of what they cost new and they have 20 hours on them!!! That's why I'm going to keep the engines and "reconfigure" them. I just need to figure out what to ask for the quad rotor setup.

New #6 drives cost $32,000 each.

What do you mean by "allowing"?? Are they keeping the engines and drives and knocking 120K off of their asking price?

Way out of my price league, but when I'm looking at used parts I start by figuring they need to be less than 1/2 the cost of new to be worth considering.

$0.02 - Greg

Very small market for stuff like that. Especially with the price of fuel now.

I would think that it would be a great deal if you could get them to knock off 80K for the Sterlings and keep the #6's...you're going to need them anyway. aren't you?
