'03 F250 - 6.0 Powerstroke help
#1
Well,
I finally took the plunge and purchased the truck I really wanted to tow the Powerplay with. Bought it Sunday and returned it Monday morning due to an oil leak and the fact that it shut off on me on the way to the dealer. The truck has 60k which is a little much for the year but I got a pretty good deal on it. Problem is the dealer has had it since Monday morning and hasn't worked on it. They promised to fix it right away and am sure they will get to it as they are a reputable Ford dealership but I am a little concerned. An oil leak on a 60K powerstroke ? I told them that if they did not fix it by tomorrow they can keep the truck and they assured me that it would be fixed but I am concerned. What do you guys think?

'03 was a bad year for the 6.0.. i am sure there are some threads here and at the diesel sites they will list all the issues... and i wouldn't be worried about 60k on a '03, i got 40k on my '05....

Give it back to them!! I bought a 2003 Ford with the 6.0 and had nothing but problems..so I traded it in on a GMC and love the truck. HavasuCig bought the same truck (2 months before me) and he had alot of problems. He actually did the Lemon Law and Ford had to buy it back.

yea, there on this site.
that was the big problem year, in 03 everyone was buying used 7.3's over new. but you would have to think with 60k, that it got through the problems.
