Default Lend a brotha a power programer

Anyone willing to let me borrow (or sell me) a power programmer for a 99 Ford V-10?

Jason, you probably have to buy it. The programmer replaces the stock program w/ the modified. The programmer then has the stock tune in it. The programmer will then ONLY work with that vehicle until it is deprogrammed.

Go to Ebay to get the best price/used.

They DO work, my 2000 Yukon XL tows much better with the HPP3 and air intake.

in my old 1999 f350 with v10 I did the programmer, exhaust, and kn kit on it, woke the old truck up really good, never dynoed it, but could feel the diiference more throttle response and crisper accelereation.

3-5 mpg gain? That's pretty good in my book. I'm getting right around 11mpg with my '03 V-10. How much do these programmer cost? Can you stay with 89 fuel or do you have to step up?

I just sold my 2001 V-10 with the exaust, K&N FIPK Filter, and Superchip it would smoke the tires. I think it makes a big difference performance wise and I got about 13 mpg average (not towing of course). I just sold my programmer for $200.

I ran the higher oct, but you could run the lower, if memory serves me right, you can choose which fuel oct to set the program for, along with shift points speed limiter, raise red line, adjust for tire sizes as well.
