I've been trying to find info in the air/sea show but all that I find on the net is info on the 2005 show.
Anyone have info on when it will be in the spring of 2006?
Thanks

DJD, make a call, it might not happen again in 2006 or possibly move to another location. Someone in charge should know.

Now that you answered the easy one...Where is a place to stay that is NOT 13 miles from the beach and has parking??
We old people need to know...

My patio is the least crowded place to watch it and parking is never a problem. However, I can only see the higher flying planes due to the condos on the beach. Some years the thunderbirds or blue angels fly so close they dwarf the house across the canal and you can feel the heat from the afterburners.
Second best place is from a boat. However the ocean is usually rough in May. On a calm day you'll be out there with 5000 or so other boats. The return trip is hell unless you can wait out the crowds.
Hotel rooms might be tight for 2006. i drive down A1A to get to work and about half the old beach front hotels have been torn down for million dollar condos.
The best place to go to avoid the crowds is Sheraton Yankee clipper or the Marriott Harbor Beach. You are not front and center but still have a great view. I've had friends get rooms at the Holiday Inn at A1A and Sunrise which is front and center but it's an older hotel and once you check in you are stuck for the duration. Other places to try are Irelands and the Best Western Pelican resort. both are just north of show center and you would get a great view of the marines storming the beach.
If you are willing to spend the money, the corporate packages are great, shaded seating, catered food, unlimited beer, parking and no crowds but I think the price was around $200 per person last year.
