Default Marine Insurance providers.....

I know this has been discussed before but I wasn't paying attention when I wasn't in need of Ins quotes. Who are the recommended players I should talk to. I currently have Progressive and the renewal has increased 10-15% with no past or present claims on the policy.

State Farm has mine currently.

Also, check into:

Ask for Reese Scott. He took good care of my Sonic.

I also second calling Sy. He does a great job as well.

My insurance provider, PROGRESSIVE, said that they would only insure a boat with a standard (non racing) Mercruiser engine. In other words a 496HO was the highest HP motor they would insure and you better not modify the motor for higher horsepower or the policy will be null an void. The Boat in question is a 25' Nordic Rage.

Any insurance provider suggestions for some one that would like to bolt a Raylar BK103 kit on his 496HO?

Thanks!

Not sure about any others but you are correct about Progressive and higher HP's. I'm running stock 502/415's so it's not a problem.
