I love the power(305/555 motor) and the fuel economy. The turning radius is almost as short as my Ranger Supercab. The doors close with very little effort, the only negative being the rattling outside mirrors. The fast ratio rack and pinion steering means pinpoint placement of the wheels.
Given the three years of model improvements, the new truck has to be better than mine, so if you're on the fence don't be. I would buy another Dodge in a heartbeat.

thanks for the review. I own an 01.5 model quad cab cummins powered 2500 4wd right now. Upgrading in the next year is a possibility but I'm going to ahve to see that engine perform well. the 600 series has had a tendancy to get hot quick. Lets hope this configuration will work better.

What do you mean you're going to have to see that engine perform? Other than a few minor programming problems in the 04.5 model year, that engine has been great. It tends to be a little more thirsty than your 24valve, but none the less it is a great engine. I have been in the Mega Cab two different times and at 6'3 260lbs, I was TOTALLY comfortable in the back seat. The back seat reclines, has storage behind, and is very comfortable. The only thing you might consider waiting for is the new 6speed auto tranny that is being designed. The 48re is a good auto, MUCH better than the old 47re which had such a bad rep, but it is only a 4speed.
My mother has an 05 610 cummins and thus far she is getting 17mpg in town and 19 on the highway. These are hand calculated numbers in a 2500 4X4 with an auto.
Hope that helps some.

Pure garbage....the only thing good about the truck is the motor only!!!!!...So wake up!!...The truck is junk...cheap light weight metal everywhere..all brackets are cheap and light...nothing is worth calling a truck...the construction is more like a light weight car..very sad..I wanted to buy one due to the motor and the things you can do to hop it up but no way would I spend 58 g on a totally loaded 4 by quad cab...crawl under it and look for yourself..open the doors and look at the hinges flex on cab mounts.look at all the brackets to frames and axles....pleeeze a total piece of crap.

I have an 04 325/600. Mine is full 4 door. I dont know what you mean by getting hot. I run mine pretty hard and havent had any problem at all. I dont recomend putting any hop up kits on it. I put one on mine rite after i bought it and blew the turbo. The only thing i dont like about this vehicle is the steering. Its got rack and i like the a frame type better. The 48re is much better than the 47re. This is the second dodge for me, ive allways had chebbies, mostly you need to find a good dealer that will maintain your needs and give you what you need when you ask for it. Brian

Thanks Corey. What I meant by getting hot is the tendency of the Common Rail engines to get to dangerous exhaust gas temperatures with only mild tuning, even with 5'' exhaust the whole way back. I've read more than a handful of opinions like that on turbodieselregistry.com.

The amount of 100,000, and 200,000+ mile trucks on the road which still proudly display the dodge/cummins tag alone refutes the venom you spewed in your post.

Drove the new Mega Cab with the turbo diesel. What a truck. Loved it, lots of room, front and back. Engine had lots of power and was suprisingly quiet. Will be my next truck for sure!
